Best Practices in Cleanroom Behavior – Eight Important Cleanroom Practices

1.      Keep tools and test equipment inside the cleanroom to reduce the risk of contamination. The selection of Equipments should be less or no maintenance to avoid any risk.

2.      Cleanroom operators should be fully trained on cleanroom protocol. Clean manufacturing must be a plant-wide commitment, Cleanroom maintenance should be everyone’s responsibility. Every worker should know how to properly clean work areas.

3.      Slow movement should follow inside clean room to minimize particle movement. Avoid touching yourself or other people. Avoid touching human contact sites such as: pens bin handles.

4.      Staff should follow the proper attire / PPE while entering in cleanroom to eliminate the risk of release of particles or contamination, Keep addition supply of gloves and sanitizers inside the cleanroom.

5.      Selection of appropriate cleaning and disinfectant and validated protocols are important for potentially reducing cleanroom classification. Selection of appropriate cleaning agent and disinfectant is important.

6.      Adjust practices to allow for seasonal changes. should be changed as per the GMP protocol and environmental / Seasonal requirements.

7.      Regular routine preventative maintenance is required. Every few hours or as per the GMP proticols, workers should check their workstation with a surface particle counter. If particle counts are high, all surface areas should be wiped down and the particulate source located. An online particle counter is also an additional supporting tool.

8.      Vendors / Out sider should always follow proper cleanroom procedures to avoid any risk.
