How QuickRide Carpooling works?

In Carpooling, there is no concept of Driver or Passenger like in a cab. In QuickRide, we have a community of verified corporate professionals, many of which, have their own cars and they daily go alone to office. Call them as Ride Givers.

On the other hand, there is another verified corporate who is going along the same route, may be to the same company or Tech park and spends exorbitantly on cabs because of no other convenient option. Call them as Ride Seekers or Ride Takers.

We are matching these Corporate professionals Ride Takers with these Ride Givers and filling up the empty seats of those cars which are already on way to the destination.

The more number of cars we fill up, it results in reducing the number of cars on the road (considering they would have taken a cab or may be their own car that day) hence lesser traffic and reduced pollution in the city

How does a Carpool differ from an #UberPool or #OlaShare which are TaxiPool?

First and Foremost, while Ola and Uber are commercial vehicles, Carpooling is done via private vehicle and for sharing the petrol cost only.

1. Carpooling is economical; it is 1/5th of Cab and 1/3rd of Uberpool and OlaShare

Hmm, you don't believe me and thinking how the hell you were paying so much till date. Here is the proof of the same. While Carpooling is Rs 4 per km (Rs 0 to 6 per km is the limit) with no additional cost of time, Surge or fixed base fare; Taxipool is generally 60% of the normal Taxi fare which will still be expensive.

Let's take a route from Mayur Vihar Metro station, Delhi to Tech park in Sec 127 Noida expressway (11.5 km stretch). I have taken 8.30am which is office going time for comparison.

2. Carpooling is faster as its along the fixed route; No On Route deviations

The routes of Ride Takers are matched so the pick up and drop points are along the Ride Givers route. It means even if there are 3 ride takers to be picked up by the Ride Givers, they all will be on the same route. Absolutely no deviation unlike Uber Pool and Ola share.

Remember you tool a Taxi pool last time thinking you will reach in 20 mins (taking 5-10 mins buffer) but ended up reaching after 40 mins.

Taxipool has very common issue because of door to door pick up & drop and more importantly on route matching of new user which ends up deviating from your destination by another Y% which was already X% in the beginning; Your route becomes more of #ZigZag_puzzle or #City_tour instead of just a Ride

So it becomes additional X%+Y% for the user. It just eats away time of many passenger, a few of them being adamant to drop them just 1m away from home.

3. Know all your Co-Riders before getting into a Carpool

Who are your co-passenger in Taxipool? Can be scary sometime as you have no prior info. Remember taking ride with unknown people who kept on talking continuously over phone. So Annoying.

In carpool, you get to see who your co-riders are, which company are they from and what people have rated them. In case you don't like any of them, you can cancel and join a different carpool.

Considering one professional understands another one, the talking may happen within the group and less with any non existing person in the car.

In case you are a female and see that 2 males have already joined the ride, you may prefer not to join it. Or may be you just want "Women only Carpool". We have a filter for it i.e "Users from Same Gender only" which prohibits other gender to even see you in the ride matching list. Wonderful, Right!

4. Who will be dropped when and how much it will delay my drop; 0 delay?

In carpooling, as we mentioned, all passengers are going along the very same fixed route with no deviation for anyone, so you will be dropped as soon as your destination comes with no worries about other people destination whether they were picked before you or not. They will be on the same route.The only external factor is the Traffic on the road and you are helping it to reduce for your city.

5. Helping people who anyway will take their cars to their office everyday

For people who love to drive and take out their car to office everyday, we don't want them to get bored too so we work on giving them company that too with verified corporate people along his route only.

The Ride Giver need not go even 10 m away from his daily usual route. In addition, he/she does not have to pick anyone from their home or drop them to their office.

In case its along the route, they surely will but in case its not the the Ride Taker shall cover the rest distance by himself. The intelligent app algorithm takes care of it and shows in advance the distance to pick up and from drop point. Easy.

6. Ever made Good friends in a Carpool? We made many.

As its a community of professionals, sometimes from same industry or having same interest; its easier to open up and talk with them. Conversation leads to friendships many a time.

It was a BIG surprise for Mr Mahesh who shared his experience on his Birthday. His Carpool Gang brought a nice cake for him on his special day. A small gesture from people which were unknown sometime back has a lot to say. Kudos to the carpooling turned friends community.

Something missing in the Carpooling?

With all these benefits of Carpooling listed above, one issue some of the Ride Takers can find is missing the Door to Door pick up and drop. But think it from Ride Giver's end; they are working professionals who wants to help the environment and in turn share the ever growing petrol expenses of the trip. We don't want him to feel like a Driver but more as a concerned person helping people travelling on the same route by filling his empty seat of the car.

Quick Ride is not a company but a Community filled with people who feel happy to contribute to their environment.

Rather going alone to office or back home, they prefer to Carpool. Many of them may have taken out their car to go to office crossing the busy streets of the city but they now prefer to commute alongside someone else reducing the Traffic in the city.
