Be A Better YOU
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”- Hemingway
As Autumn creeps in and the leaves begin to change colors and cover the paths we’re reminded of change. Our environment is ever changing but sometimes we forget how important it is to look within for change.
Being superior to your former self in simple terms means there is no competition.
We can use Russo’s or sports as a metaphor to illustrate that the most successful businesses and athletes don’t focus on pushing their competition out of the game – they want to play against them – they focus on being a better company or athlete than they were last year, last month and last week.
Let’s put ourselves in that same position. Who were you last year, last month, last week and even yesterday? Are you better than before? What have you learned, experienced, let go of, earned, created and realized?
I hope we can all realize today that there is no outside competition. We only win or we lose from within.
