The Big Love Story
BIG LOVE is MINI's optimistic attitude to life — open to all, no driver's license needed. It's about celebrating life and individuality, recognising that we're all different but pretty good together. BIG LOVE is why we champion our LGBTQIA+ MINI Family this and every month of the year.
Earlier this year, we took BIG LOVE to the global stage as a proud supporting partner of Sydney WorldPride, one of the world's largest LGBTQIA+ celebrations. What could be a bigger demonstration of love than turning all of central Sydney into a loud, proud rainbow celebration? With street parades, performances, art and a host of other cultural festivities, we were thrilled to be part of it!
We joined in the Mardi Gras parade with our MINI Pride-mobile (a specially wrapped MINI Convertible). Flanked by a troupe of brilliant rainbow dancers expertly choreographed by Ame Delves and, of course, a great, big BIG LOVE sign, we spread our message of inclusivity to the crowds that filled the streets. It was so incredible to feel the collective energy and excitement all along the entire parade route and be part of such an uplifting and unforgettable day.
And because we wanted to help everyone in Sydney get the most from WorldPride 2023, we also created MINI's Map of BIG LOVE – a digital guide to event highlights, LGBTQIA+ friendly businesses and murals around the city.
If you weren’t in Sydney, you could still experience BIG LOVE for Pride online. We created a special rainbow - tastic new level in the MINIverse where visitors could create their own AI artwork, projected as murals in Pride Park, to express what BIG LOVE means to them.
BIG LOVE FROM AROUND THE WORLD
In the months leading up to Sydney WorldPride, MINI Australia asked our global MINI Family to share their own BIG LOVE Story. We received thousands of inspiring stories and invited five international pairs to travel to Sydney to join the WorldPride celebrations. They joined in the parade with us, and we painted a mural to share their BIG LOVE Story with all of Sydney. Here’s a sneak peek at their stories...
