A BIGR 2024! 2023 Recap & Next Steps.

Hey everyone! Welcome to the first episode of our monthly upkeep journal for BIGR Social .

2023 was a huge year of progress, in January, BIGR wasn’t even conceptualized and by December we finished our pre-seed round and began our full build.

A lot of learnings. A lot of planning. A lot of fun. A lot of partnerships.

365 days of exponential growth. Here is the recap with some highlights:

  • 🌟 January: The idea for BIGR was born (after 40+ others)
  • 💻 February: Pre-MVP built on an old laptop & validated our first customer!
  • 🔍 March: Interviewed 30+ developers to build our vision, couldn’t find the right one
  • 🌱 April: Started our raise, our network responded well
  • 🗣️ May: Spoke about AI to the International Association of Business Communicators
  • 🤝 June: Secured our first advisor & investor

  • 👋 January 2024: We hired employee #1! Welcome, Ethan Vella.

What lies in 2024:

  1. Build & Launch: We’re well into full build mode with BIGR and will launch in early April. Our pre-seed has locked and we hired our first employee to assist
  2. It’s MOU season: We’re in discussions with a bunch of B2B contacts to help distribute us to their clients on launch. These are companies that range from online food ordering to point of sale. Shall I mention that they have access to over 100,000 of our target audience between them?
  3. Next Round & Travel: As a startup, we’re of course always raising. We have some interested parties in our seed round already – Keep in touch as we lock in our lead & see our venture capital friends in Dubai, California, Miami & NYC.
