There's so much to learn while learning a language than just the language.

Language makes you understand a lot about the culture of the native and also helps you in connecting with people. How happy do we feel when a non native speaks to you in Hindi or Punjabi cos you get a feeling as if they are part of you. In my life I have come across a few people who are linguists and they know multiple languages and frankly I have a different impression about them and a lots of respect. While learning German (Proficiency level 0) I also understood a lot about the German culture and their inner aspects which I would never have understood otherwise. Language not only limits the barrier but also gives you a lot of insights
