1moCertification is not necessary, Only good reference is.. Without reference nobody will get a job and this is a harsh truth of today's job market... Candidate's knowledge is secondary

2moId say it depends - when I started my journey in BIM there were no certifications, youtube courses, or communities - I know what I know and have the experience to prove it. Having someones stamp of approval has been largely unnessisary but I do see the benifit for newer users just starting their careers without the trail of proof and experience.
