THE BLACK CONDITION

THE BLACK CONDITION

I sometimes question if we as Black people collectively understand the global conditions we live in. The whole WORLD is against us, I can not name a country outside of our continent, the Sub Sahara to be specific where we are not discriminated against because of our skin tone. Much more than this, capitalism is constantly not only appropriating Black culture but serving to pollute it with detrimental stereotypical imagery of how we as Black people represent ourselves to the world. Thereby further programming a situation where we then see ourselves through the images we are constantly surrounded by, think 'They Cloned Tyrone - the chicken scene.' So there are aspects of our own existence that makes our very presence on this planet a threat to established systems and the current imperialistic conditions. From our forms of knowledge, ways of praise, down to our God given features - full lips, black hair and curves. So therefore, while I understand that the failure to recognize another Brother and Sister and Family member as another person facing the same struggles not only against the world as is but also against inherent prejudice and injustice, it still pains me to think and see another Black person see me as just another nixxxx. WE ARE FACING THE SAME INJUSTICES, WE SHOULD BE KINDER TO ONE ANOTHER.
