Blame Slow Job Search On COVID, Or Do This To Accelerate It

If your job search is going slower than you'd like, it's easy to blame it on the job market recession caused by COVID.

That's what most struggling job seekers do, but blaming your results on COVID won't solve the problem you're facing.

Good thing there are a few things you can do to accelerate your job search, even in the middle of a bad job market:

  1. Present Yourself As A Top Candidate - Not just qualified: In ultra-competitive job markets, when you face job shortages, being qualified isn't good enough to accelerate your search ... because so many qualified candidates apply that being qualified makes you average. Instead, you need to learn how to present yourself in your resume and interviews as being far more than qualified, but a top candidate that can make a big impact.
  2. Get Better Information: Gain an advantage over other job seekers who depend on publicly available information and understand hiring managers' current needs (hint: they're rarely in the job description).
  3. Adapt: When the going gets tough, the tough get going. So when the job market is tough, you need to do more than you're used to doing to accelerate your search. Most job seekers are used to applying for jobs online or networking after the job's posted. These methods give the slowest results, based on research from job boards themselves. To accelerate your search, adopt a more efficient job search process than your competitors.

I'll bet you aren't doing any of the above things that accelerate your search - Or if you're attempting to, you haven't figured out how to make it work. And that's what's keeping your search slow ...

Want to learn more about how to accelerate your job search, even during a bad job market? I'll teach you more effective ways to improve your resume and search strategy, to land more interviews, advance, and get offers. While we're at it, I can show you more ways to accelerate your job search, so you can find your next job fast. even if you're unemployed or need to turnaround a failing job search.

This is the 3rd job market recession I've recruited/coached through, so I've seen first hand what resume and job search strategies succeed for job seekers during poor job markets. I've also seen mistakes candidates make, causing their recession job searches to fail. I've been through this before and know what works and what doesn't.

That's why numerous job seekers who work with me have already gotten job offers every week since mid-March 2020.

As a top national recruiter who reads hundreds of resumes per day, who has helped hundreds of thousands of candidates in their job search, and seen thousands of employers' job search processes from the inside, I've got a different perspective than most career coaches.

I see that most job seekers do essentially the same things, even when they think they are job searching differently. I also see most job seekers were taught search methods that eliminate them from consideration, because they conflict with the employer's hiring process.

But I've been teaching job seekers to land job offers for 14 years by using non-traditional resume/interview/job search strategies that demonstrate impact rather than just being average. I'll show you how to land offers (even if you're unemployed, over 40 or have other job search challenges) and find a job fast by understanding employers' point of view and hiring processes ... and using this understanding to beat your competition.

(I'm not just a career coach. I've also been a top national recruiter for the last 17 years ... so you'll get advice from an insider's point of view.)

Let me show you what you can do now to change your job search, interviews and resume so you can find a job fast, even if you're between jobs, over 40, trying to change careers/industry/location, if your industry is in decline/consolidation, trying to overcome long term career gaps, family leave, find a remote job, turnaround your job search or other tough to solve job search problems.
