Blame Is A Waste Of Time
“All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him, but you won't succeed in changing whatever it is about you that is making you unhappy.”
― Wayne W. Dyer
What a drop the mic and say nothing else statement. It reminds me of what happens when we try to point the finger to someone else. There are 3 fingers pointing back at us. Things are not always going to shift our way. We are going to have setbacks and yes, we are not always going to be happy. However, this does not excuse us from taking our un-happiness out on others. It does not give us the power to make someone else feel bad just because we are struggling. As we approach the middle section of the week, take pause to consider how we can shift the narrative of the above statement.
Lift one another up rather than tearing down
Accept your responsibility. Own your own shortcomings
Focus on how you can approve yourself
Find fault in nothing; rather focus on the positive around you.
All of us are going thru something. Our mission should be to help each other along the way so that everyone benefits.
To everyone's benefit!
