Blockchains With Potential Airdrops

Blockchains With Potential Airdrops

Blockchains have long served as conduits for distributing significant airdrops to their communities, sparking fervent anticipation and high expectations, particularly for prominent chains backed by notable investors and boasting substantial funding. In our analysis, we've spotlighted twelve blockchains expected to distribute airdrops, with some already confirming the distribution while others remain opaque about their plans.

Nevertheless, all stand as promising candidates for airdrop distribution. We've divided our examination into six blockchains in the mainnet phase and six in the testnet phase, providing you with opportunities to engage in drop hunting across various project stages.

Lɪɴᴇᴀ

Presently, Linea stands out as the most robustly backed project in the market, having committed to distributing an airdrop to its community. Linea has even specified a tentative end of campaign date, slated for October or upon reaching a total value locked (TVL) of $3 billion. However, as of early May, Linea's TVL stood at a mere $600 million, buoyed by the Linea Surge campaign. Consequently, it seems improbable that Linea will initiate an airdrop before October.

Anticipation runs high for zkSync, thanks to its top-tier backers and substantial funding. Despite not divulging specific instructions or timing for its airdrop, zkSync Era's current TVL sits at $208 million. Notably, if its airdrop will be dispensed for liquidity provision, potentially offering more tokens per user due to reduced competition.

𝚂𝚌𝚛𝚘𝚕𝚕

Scroll has affirmed its intention to distribute an airdrop and has initiated a quest series for the community. Participants can earn rewards, termed marks, by bridging to Scroll through official or Bungee bridges. These marks will subsequently be converted into the airdrop. Currently, Scroll boasts a TVL of $225 million, comparable to that of zkSync Era.

Xterio has just unveiled its mainnet phase, marking an opportune moment to engage in the project's staking activities. Participants stand to be rewarded with an airdrop for their involvement. Xterio distinguishes itself as a chain designed for cross-platform play-to-earn games, fortified by robust support from venture capitalists. This convergence of factors makes it an enticing prospect for enthusiasts seeking to participate in both blockchain staking and the burgeoning play-to-earn gaming ecosystem.

Despite raising a modest $20 million, Blast reigns supreme in terms of TVL among projects with confirmed airdrops, boasting $2.7 billion. This impressive figure is attributed to the "Blast Gold" distribution program, wherein Dapps vie for Blast Gold, a portion of which will be shared with the community as an airdrop. While competition for liquidity farming is fierce, users can enhance their Blast Gold yields through various activities announced by Blast.

𝙱𝚊𝚜𝚎

As a blockchain affiliated with exchange, Base hasn't confirmed airdrop yet. Nevertheless, its rapid rise in popularity within the community has propelled it to become one of the largest Layer 2 solutions. Many users eagerly anticipate a potential airdrop from Base. However, even without an official announcement, Base has garnered significant attention. Should an airdrop be declared and widely distributed, its impact may be moderate but nonetheless noteworthy.

𝙱𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚒𝚗

Berachain currently stands as the most well-funded blockchain in the testnet stage. It's most likely that testnet participants will receive airdrop, since Berachain uses its own BERA token as a gas token, and it's necessary to organize a fair distribution. If you're seeking to become an early adopter of a significant project, Berachain presents a compelling option.

Fuel Network emerges as an L1 blockchain, backed by notable investors and carrying high expectations. Layer1 blockchains inherently draw special interest from the community, given the potential for substantial rewards and opportunities in the event of success. For those keen on being early participants in a project akin to the next Solana, Fuel represents an attractive prospect.

𝙴𝚜𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚘

Espresso Network boasts an impressive lineup of backers, including a16z, Sequoia Capital, and Coinbase Ventures. Presently, the sole activity available involves bridging testnet tokens to the Espresso testnet network. Nevertheless, with such esteemed backers, it's prudent to monitor the project closely and engage in forthcoming activities, which are likely to materialize soon.

While Taiko may not frequent the headlines nor possess backers as formidable as the aforementioned projects, this can serve as a boon rather than a deterrent for drop hunters. Reduced competition among drop hunters translates to a larger share of tokens for active participants. Although the drop remains unconfirmed, activities are already underway, suggesting Taiko could be an overlooked gem for drop hunters.

Backed by influential supporters and fortified by strong partnerships with industry leaders, XION sets its sights on achieving widespread adoption of its blockchain through chain abstraction technology. This innovative approach holds the potential to attract a broader audience among consumers. By participating in the XION testnet, you position yourself at the forefront of an emerging technology poised for significant impact.

𝟢𝖦 𝖫𝖺𝖻𝗌

For enthusiasts who believe in the synergy between AI and blockchain trends, 0G Labs merits attention. Positioned as a Modular AI Chain, 0G features a scalable, programmable Data Availability (DA) layer tailored for AI Dapps. Presently, the project is in an open testnet phase, presenting an opportunity for participants to potentially acquire project tokens at no cost.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲

Blockchains are known for distributing generous airdrops, however, in the current airdrop frenzy, things may change. Both mainnet and testnet activities may be rewarded with airdrops, however, you need to value your time and estimate potential rewards to maximize your airdrop hunting efficiency.
