BOGOF! Two for the price of one (and they're both FREE?!)

Take the Lead in Conversations has two exciting announcements.

I've been chatting to lots of people in business and listening to the common challenges we each face.

Seems the most common themes that come up comprise of being clear, having the confidence and how to stick to the plan.

When you know what you have to say the confidence to say it magically appears yet that magic simpers when it comes to actually saying it out loud.

Therefore there are baby steps to take to build up to a real conversation. It's why I think content is playing such a big part because it's a safe conversation to have...

...getting to the stage where you can turn your content into conversations is key to success.

Without conversations we wouldn't understand whether we're spending time, effort and sometimes hard earned cash in the right places.

Can you remember meeting someone, at a networking event perhaps, and getting that feeling?!

They're just the sort of person you love to work with. And you can't hide your excitement.

If it's been a while, I highly recommend you get out. There's so many interesting people to meet that it doesn't matter if they're your ideal client!

Conversations work through the Room not in it.

Make a good first impression, listen and learn as you never know who they know that may mention you in passing.

I love it when you walk away from a conversation and you have lots of thoughts tumbling about that you know you need to write them down and make a plan.

Which brings me onto the second conversation I've had - with myself!

Do you know the phrase 'Heal Thyself'?

I've been very open about my personal life in the last couple of years; losing my mother in law to a terrible illness and a life changing decision to move to Scotland.

The combination of these things along with having a family and trying to run a business took its toll.

Now is the time to take stock. And if you've had it tough recently work through it with me.

I'm back to basics and happy to share the process, for free, on my podcast.

It will be the backbone of the conversations I have going forward. It will take 12 episodes over 12 months to document but it will be an interesting exercise to look back on and see how far we've come, won't it?

So the first of these episodes is available and it's a first for me with no guest to bounce off. Totally out of my comfort zone!

Oh, and before I forget! Another lively conversation in a cafe garden with Lorraine Eivers lead to a fab book recommendation that seems apt to share with you lovely 5192 of you! A book by Emma Reed Turrell (MBACP Accred.) called 'Please Yourself'.

My key takeaway? The only person I really want to please is myself. That way I'm going to please the right people in my life without it hurting me. How about you?
