Boldly declaring: We Are HPE
HPE celebrates 7 years of purpose, pride, and delivering on its commitments
This month is special for HPE. On November 1, 2015, Hewlett Packard Enterprise became a standalone company, and we embarked on a journey to become the Edge-to-Cloud company, committed to advancing the way people live and work. When Antonio Neri was named CEO in 2017, he declared culture as one of three top priorities along with innovation as well as customers and partners. He acknowledged the pace at which technology was evolving and HPE’s need to transform how it delivered value to stakeholders – a transformation that would require a diverse, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
To rally our 60,000+ global team members around a shared sense of purpose, pride, and belonging, we developed our “HPE Culture Blueprint,” a framework of shared beliefs and behaviors that define who we are and how we do things.
And, we announced we were transforming HPE to deliver everything as a service, driving toward one integrated platform, one customer experience, and a portfolio of products and solutions under one brand―HPE GreenLake. Our culture allowed us to deliver on and continue advancing these commitments in a big way through our differentiated edge-to-cloud experience, which currently enables more than 120,000 users across 2 million connected devices, managing more than one exabyte of data.
To acknowledge these incredible accomplishments, we’re celebrating We Are HPE Day to reflect upon who we are and the culture we’ve built together. Today, more than 30,000 of our team members are participating in group volunteer activities around the world to be a force for good, one of our core culture beliefs. And, more than 75 of our global sites are hosting celebrations, recognizing and awarding team and team member culture awards.

We often say, “How we do things is every bit as important as what we’re doing.” Our HPE team members are a clear reflection of the how. But don’t just take it from me, see what our team members have to say about our culture.
This excitement is palpable, and it’s evident our team members are proud of who we are, where we started, how we’ve evolved, and where we are headed next.
Strategy alone won’t deliver success. An engaged, diverse, and high-performing workforce that furthers a compelling strategy in a way that is meaningful to all of our stakeholders will. This winning combination has catapulted us to become the Edge-to-Cloud company, powering customers’ data-first modernization with one unified, hybrid-cloud services experience. We remain committed to our beliefs, people, customers, partners, and strategy because, together, they empower us to advance the way people live and work.
