📊 Book Marketing Success isn't a Secret--it's a System!

Hey!

I'm still glued to the Olympics (how does someone as small as Simone Biles gets 12 feet in the air?!) and remembering my training days.

My dad was my coach and we'd sit down and choose a race I wanted to train for, then he'd put together my running schedule (how many miles, on what day, what time of day, etc.), plus I had a weight training schedule, too.

And a stretching routine.

I needed to eat enough calories (that was my favorite part, all of the eating).

Every aspect of my training regimen was carefully calculated and planned well in advance. Right down to the LSD (long slow distance) runs, tapering, and carbo loading.

As an author, you need a regimen, too, a system. Having a system is fundamental--and when you work that system and you trust it, only good can come!

[The good news: no twenty-milers!]

In You Must Market Your Book, I introduce the Book Marketing Matrix, a powerful, visual tool that is part of the system I created. I knew that to make the most impact and income from my book, I needed to organize my book marketing strategy for every book.

The Matrix has four key components:

  1. Publish & Repurpose -- what formats should I publish my book in, and how can I repurpose the content (think additional incomes streams)
  2. Distribution -- how and where can I put my book in the path of probably purchasers and readers?
  3. Promotion -- what activities can I do to promote the book
  4. Selling -- what are they best ways to sell my books (one book at a time? in bulk? by white-labeling?)

There are lots of options, and the ones I choose have to fit with the four filters I start with (I talked about them in a previous article: personality, job, time, and money). Each component plays a crucial role in getting a book, you book, into readers' hands. For example, under "Promotion," you might list strategies like podcast interviews, social media campaigns, and book signings.

Put together a Book Marketing Matrix and you'll have confidence you've got the beginnings of a winning marketing plan. You'll always know what your options are, and then you can figure out when you're going to market your book (that's a conversation for another day).

When you're ready, grab your copy of You Must Market Your Book. Then market that book like you mean it!

Your book can get to best earning status!
