Book Series: Scrum Mastery

Book Series: Scrum Mastery

This entry from My Book Series goes to... the first of the trilogy of Mastery by Geoff Watts

How I Found it

I had the pleasure of meeting Geoff at his class of Advanced Scrum Master in London (A-CSM) with Paul in London 2018. Since then I've continued following their work.

This book was one of my first agile specific books I had ever bought.

What it Tells me

It's packed with practical tools for your servant-leadership skills.

Let's be honest as a Scrum Master with only two days of training this doesn't get you to a master anything, a very misunderstood role. We need better Scrum Masters, please read this book.

It was great to find out more and how to deal with the common patterns one finds within this role. In addition to what the common traits and composition of a great team are, there is also key concepts for a Scrum Master to understand, tools & practices to help the team with, and even how to rephrase your questions to serve best their purpose.

Food for Thought

If you are to measure something, measure what is fostering an environment of bringing that value faster, and in a safer and happier place. "When an organisation switches their focus from 'managing for results' to designing environments where teams 'can create results', great teams flourish".
