Moses Sanchez Announces Candidacy for Phoenix City Council

Small Business Owner, Navy Veteran, and First-Generation Arizonan announces campaign for Phoenix City Council District 6

Ahwatukee - Today, Moses Sanchez, small business owner, Navy veteran, father, and first-generation Arizonan, is announcing his candidacy for Phoenix City Council.

Running to represent District 6, Moses Sanchez immigrated to the United States with his family from the Republic of Panama. After graduating high school and serving in the U.S. Navy, Moses Sanchez married Dr. Maria Manriquez and earned a B.S. in Business Management and MBA from the University of Phoenix. Today, Moses runs a small business with his daughter, is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ahwatukee, serves on the Executive Board of the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix, and serves in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

“I’m proud to call Ahwatukee home. I’ve raised my family in Phoenix, served on our local school board, run for Mayor, and worked to grow a small business. I’m running for Phoenix City Council to provide the same opportunities this city has given me and stand up for the most overlooked community in Phoenix.”

“As your next Councilmember, I will make public safety a top priority, invest in infrastructure to fill potholes and improve transportation throughout our city, and work with local leaders and charitable organizations to help our growing homeless population and break the cycle of poverty.”

In conjunction with his campaign launch, Moses Sanchez is announcing his campaign co-chairs:

  • Long-time Ahwatukee residents Liz O’Neall and Christie Ellis, and;
  • Phoenix leaders Marcelle and Keith Costello
