BREAKING: Seating Matters Announces Equity Investment, Strengthening Australian Partnership

Seating Matters is a Northern Irish company which manufactures clinical, therapeutic seating used in hospitals and long term care facilities around the world.

Today the company announces an important equity investment in its Australian distributor, 'Seating Australia' which trades as Seating Matters Australia.

Seating Matters was founded in 2008 by Occupational Therapist Martina Tierney to provide appropriate, clinical chairs for her patients. The family-run business has gone from strength to strength and is now run by three directors, Martina’s sons Jonathan, Ryan and Martin Tierney.

The relationship with Seating Matters Australia began in 2013 with the Sydney-based company being headed up by Adrian Cominotto. The company has been a long-standing partner of the Northern Irish manufacturer and together the companies have helped thousands of patients, caregivers and families across the region with expert products, clinical knowledge and a very keen focus on the patient.

While the companies have worked together for 10 years, the partnership now means Seating Matters has an expanded global footprint with locations in Sydney and branch offices across Australia. For the team in Australia the investment means new growth opportunities being part of a global company.
