Breaking The Vicious Cycle
Breaking the Cycle
Everyone has his or her own life-cycle. This life-cycle is nothing but your daily life situation, circumstances, and experiences. This is where one situation or event leads to another and you also wake up again tomorrow to run the next day to catch those events or experiences of life.
In life, you may find a situation where you feel you have been doing everything right and you are still failing to get the results you want. These problems range from perennial financial troubles and debt, lack of successful relationships, or sickness. Against this background, you need to take a look at your cycle to see what’s missing and fight hard to break that cycle.
You should always remember that failure is not the alternative to success. It’s something to be avoided at all costs, but it’s also only a temporary setback on a bigger, more significant course. Everybody goes through failure at one point or another. What is important is how you react and learn from that setback. When this happens it is important to know there is a cycle of improvement.
There is a veil between failure and success. If you recognize the cycle, you can break away from it and start getting results. It is very important to understand the life-cycle, which is going on in you. It goes within your mind and makes you repeat the same circle of life over and over again. It’s possible and it has been proven that if you want to reinvent your life — you can. Instead of sticking to the same way of life or system of doing business, you can change in a meaningful manner that will make you proud and more prosperous.
Breaking a vicious life cycle is definitely not a quick decision made overnight. It’s a long process that requires persistence, courage, and determination. The first and foremost thing to do in order to break the cycle is to do self-introspection. Dig deep into life and normally, this is the scariest step for most people. This process involves hard work, searching deep within your heart to find out who you are, what you want, and what you want to achieve in life.
You need to have an honest understanding of your personal behavior, strengths, areas in which you need development. You also need to know your way of perceiving life, as well as an awareness of your emotional default in the circumstances of life. The more you know about yourself (or self-awareness, as we call it in emotional intelligence) - the easier for you to get used to change, break the cycle, and measure your personal growth.
Again, the more you know about your own behavior and weakness, the easier for you to improve on those habits and position yourself for success. You need to look at yourself in the mirror and be self-aware by inviting feedback into your life. But you’ll never gain the response you need without first becoming open to enough to ask for it.
It is also important to pursue transformation in your heart, which occurs by confronting limiting beliefs you might have built about yourself. Life transformation and change takes place in your fundamental belief system. Past events and memories can contribute to how you view yourselves and subsequently shape the paradigm about your worth and your ability to project your best selves to the world around yourself. Taking the regular initiative to make peace with an imperfect past is critically important to moving through pain and shame and into a healthy identity based upon worthiness and validation.
The journey to understand the life cycle begins when you check on your daily life. You observe your sensation in different situations and events of life. You have to be prepared to go through all the pain and pleasures of life, in the present moment. In whatever you are doing, you are either living your past or creating your future.
Let’s say you are trying to achieve at something for a long time and it hasn’t been working, it is wise to try something else. It does not mean that you are a failure but shows that you are man enough to realize when something is not working out, you need to try something else.
So you can break the cycle by interrupting a certain flow of events. All you need to do is to be strong and have courage and determination. Each of us has a unique method for breaking their cycle. When you encounter a problem, your immediate decision should be to investigate, plan, and think out new solutions.
Taking bold actions is the only solution that will link you in your cycle of growth. You need to interrupt what you have been doing before and change what you are doing. There are numerous ways to interrupt your action. If you have failed them the next step is to start working on a new idea. You need to change certain behavior which may have led to previous failures (a reason why habits & behavioural improvements are a key component of our Stress To Success programmes)
When starting a new chapter, there will be things that set you back. The adjustment to big changes isn’t a straight forward road. It’s a bumpy road line that moves up and down. But it’s never too late to start a new business, begin a new career, and get the degree you’ve always wanted.
Stop doing what you usually do and avoid living on autopilot. Get off the merry-go-round and empty the trash. Decide what is best for you and what trash is. Devise new and innovative ways to break new ground and create new life, habits, strategies, and have a new mindset.
And if you'd like support on that journey to break free from the current cycles and chart new territory and make your mark on new ground, then get in touch with me to discuss what our Stress To Success coaching and training programmes can do for you individually, as well as your team.
