Briefing: Global Biodiversity Metric | Let’s decarbonise cement with carbon capture | Tackling global water scarcity

There is a critical need for strategic planning and global standards as we pave the way towards a sustainable and circular economy.

In this edition, we highlight how Ramboll is leading the charge in sustainability and resilience across key sectors. From unveiling our groundbreaking Global Biodiversity Metric at COP16, designed to help organisations assess and manage biodiversity, to driving urgent carbon capture solutions in cement production, we’re taking decisive action for climate impact.

We also tackle the pressing issue of global water scarcity and share insights from our cloudburst catalogue that spotlight effective nature-based solutions for urban resilience.

Global Biodiversity Metric for nature

Launched at COP16 in Columbia, this first-of-its-kind metric is a free, open-source tool for assessing biodiversity value and informing land-use decisions that minimise harm while maximising biodiversity net gains. It allows organisations to measure the biodiversity value of habitats across the world, supporting ecosystem protection, restoration, and sustainable development.
