Bring out the trumpets - ERA turns five!

ERA's NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2023

Well well well, where do we begin? Let’s start with one bit of news you are probably already aware of – ERA’s fifth anniversary! What a ride it's been for David and Henry. After all the blood sweat and tears, the guys are in a good position and can safely say they are looking forward to what the next five years bring, from growing the team to landing some great projects.

Wins and handovers

Speaking of landing projects, the next time you find yourself walking down Borough High Street, make sure you look up when you get to Maya House. There you will spot three blue men hanging from the walls, holding musical instruments. This unique art installation was placed in 2008 by the late Israeli artist Ofra Zimbalista which she titled "Walls and Trumpets". And it's in the building that ERA just landed a win to redevelop the entire property, which will be complete in Q2 2024.

Mobile gaming has never been more accepted and accessible. TripleDot Studios, a competitive mobile gaming studio has recently been completed by Lee, Jack and David. The CAT B fit-out, situated at the iconic Lantern Building, has won its own awards for its incredible design and architecture. David attended the office opening with a host of industry partners including Google, which gives ERA the opportunity to network and showcase the great work the team provides.

Two projects, both completed in September and delivered by Louise and Lee, were praised by the clients Cynergy Bank and Clipway Limited.

What started out as a light touch refurbishment at Cynergy Bank, it soon expanded to a full relocation to One New Change. Despite the architectural challenges of the building the client gave outstanding praise to the ERA team.

Clipway Limited, a brand-new investment advisory firm also gave great feedback with their fresh contemporary office on Great Portland Street. Louise and Lee also helped set up their Facilities Management contracts, a service ERA now offers to clients.

Shuhel, now 6 months in working with ERA, handed over three projects in three weeks!  David and Henry can really count on Shuhel to manage and deliver on a great scale in his position as Associate PM The team is excited about the work he can bring to the company going forward!

Feeling inspired…

Whilst ERA is happy to shout about wins and delivered projects, there is always room for more inspirational stories. ERA is proud to announce that over the past 5months, they have been involved with a truly inspirational family-owned business called Scamp and Dude. Now located in the newly refurbished Battersea Power Station, (which looks incredible so go and check it out!)  this company is like no other. Owner Jo Tutchener-Sharp launched Scamp & Dude in 2016 after a lengthy stay in hospital undergoing life-saving, and literally life-changing brain surgery. Jo had been separated from her children for so long, that she came up with the genius idea to create a brand that could give back to others and give children the confidence they deserve. Since its opening, Scamp and Dudes have gone from strength to strength, just as Jo has too! Want to know more? Take a look at what they do and find out more here

You may or may not know, but David, Jack and Lee have been working on Ted Baker’s new London offices for the last two years, along with ISG and Spacelab_.  The completed project at Ted Baker's headquarters has now been nominated for an NLA Award, where ERA and everyone who took part will be commended. You can even vote for the win yourself right here! So good luck to all involved - ERA deserves this!

Now your writer has come to the end of this month’s newsletters and is off to book ERA’s Christmas party  - yes,  you’ve read currently - the Christmas party. 2023 feels as though it has gone in a flash so it is time to plan the outrageous drag show or the ‘sensible dinner’  - she hasn’t decided yet….

So, until next month, have a good one, and thank you for reading!
