Brother Myles & Brother Miles - Then Go Encourage!

This photo includes a picture of me and the late Myles Munroe. If you know me personally you know that I'm very disciplined and focused. Not a lot of smiles or photos of me smiling online. However, in this photo, I'm what our oldest son says....I'm bussing a cheese! Why am I bussing a cheese? Because, I finally met the man who had been encouraging my spirit for many years. Myles asked me "what is your gift?" I responded, encouragement and he said "then go encourage." Sadly, I didn't know how as a business guy, all I knew was what encouraged me.

Growing up in Clearwater, FL I was part of the "DJ Bad" crew. We were hired to provide music at teenage dances and birthday parties. Over those years I learned how to mix music. I utilized this talent to create encouraging music segments during the breaks of the "Supercharge Your Life" radio program I hosted to promote our book "Superhuman Performance" 12 years ago. Of course, the most popular encouraging segment included Myles Munroe:

There is No Substitute for Purpose

I'm making a change! This photo was taken during a private dinner during the first year of Formula 1 in Miami 2022 and it changed my life. At the conclusion of the dinner a gentlemen walked up to me and gave me his card and said he would like to mentor me. I didn't think much of it at the time and said sure and proceeded to hop into the Lyft to take me back to my hotel in Miami Beach. After I changed my clothes to relax, I opened my laptop and began to research the gentlemen that gave me his business card and my mouth dropped wide open! This gentlemen was one of the most influential men in the world and owned some of the most iconic brands across the world. Everything I wanted to be; he had already done! Immediately I felt intimidated and I tell him all of the time that I want to be like him when I grow up. Whenever I email or text him....immediate response.

From this relationship, I've learned the power of invite-only events. In addition, the men I admire the most aren't on social media. Since the lion's share of our business is generated by relationships and not through social media platforms akin to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. My change is no more social posts about my personal or professional life, only posts about encouraging the human spirit (my purpose).

Did you know that the human spirit desires encouragement daily? To do my part even though I'm pressed for time like most professionals, I created a YouTube page with short messages of encouragement just in case someone didn't pour into you today. My favorite book says we are to encourage each other daily and the first 30 days of content has been already uploaded. Be encouraged!
