Budget Is No Longer The 'Holy Grail' Of Annual Planning (Business World/ January 2016)

So, are Financial Budgets dead? Probably not dead, but certainly in an 'ICU', atleast from a classical budgeting standpoint. Here are 5 reasons why: (1) a year is too long (2) your company has evolved beyond a pure 'financial' budget (3) you dont know what to budget (4) perpetuation of incremental mindsets (5) only a tool, and not an end in itself.  Annual Budgeting exercise/ Business World

Shouldn't b for sure... It's a target/ a guide at "a point in time" based on myriads of factors... Can't b a monolith... Dichotomy is that we want to live in "predictable world" of pre-decided financial performance benchmarks!!!
