Build Your Email LIST FASTER with Lead Magnets
If someone tells you building an email list is EASY…run!
I promise you it will take time and effort. You will sometimes want to throw your hands in the air and run.
That is why it is important to surround yourself with a good community and have a good coach to encourage you to keep going and keep going on the hard days.
But I will tell you it is one of the best investments in your business and a skill worth learning.
An email list is a great way to connect with your audience and build a relationship with them. It allows you to engage and make offers that they actually NEED.
Let's talk about some ways to make it easier and speed up the process.
ALWAYS HAVE A FREE OFFER (LEAD Magnet)
The idea of a lead magnet (FREE OFFER) is to build a connection with your ideal clients. They will give you their name and email in exchange for something they want. Don't be stingy. Too many people are afraid to give away the good stuff. But it would help if you gave something to your ideal client that is really going to WOW them. Give them an amazing appetizer, so to speak, so they can begin to learn to build that like and trust value in who you are.
These two things will help them see you, not just all the FLUFF and TALK, and then you can continue to build the relationship via email, social media, and other outlets.

KEEP OPT-IN FORMS FORMS SIMPLE & UNCOMPLICATED
Too many marketers want to make things over complicated and super pretty and catchy, which is cool and all, but it slows down the website or complicates the process.
THE SIMPLE SIGNUP FORMS CONVERT THE BEST.
Make sure they grab peoples' attention and have a clear call to action. That is it.
Sign-up forms should be in multiple places on your websites. Different placements will capture different people's attention.
Direct sign-up pages (where the only option is to sign up for your offer because they don't get lost) convert the highest when sending them directly to a signup page. And the form is visible, and they don't have to scroll to put their name and email in (whether they are on a phone or a computer).
Here are a few other options:
Improve Conversion RATES By Collecting Only Names & Email
EVEN though SMS (CELL PHONE for Texting) lists are becoming increasingly popular, they take more work to collect upfront. Keep your form fields simple by only asking for names and emails. If you want to try to collect SMS numbers, make it a 2nd step in the process. Remember, KEEP it simple = INCREASE Conversions.
PUT YOUR LEAD MAGNET EVERYWHERE
There are so many places you can list your lead magnet that most of you don't even think about! You probably spend endless hours on social media and have social media profiles. List your lead magnet in your social media profiles and email profiles. In your WordPress BIO. Anywhere you spend your time online! You never know who is going to click and find it.

TALK, TALK, TALK ABOUT IT
You spent all that time making this amazing lead magnet. It is time to brag about it. Find some podcasts, places to be interviewed, Facebook/Instagram lives, and who you can collaborate with. It is time to talk about this lead magnet. You don't know whose life it might change today.
Why would they want to get Your Emails Anyway?
What is YOUR USP? (Unique Selling Proposition, But I like to think about it as what VALUE do you have to offer the end user)
TIME is a VALUABLE RESOURCE.
Why do I want to SPEND MY TIME:
WHEN 100's if not 1000's of other people teach or sell the same thing?
What makes YOU different?
Identify what this is and make it clear to your email subscribers...EVEN before they sign up for your lead magnets and make sure they want to keep hearing from you.
How will YOU ....CHANGE their LIFE and make their life BETTER?
Offer a Content Upgrade
Another way to offer a taste of your list's value is to offer a content upgrade. Give people a blog post, podcast, or other free content that shows what they'll receive from your list. Then, tell them if they want more help with issues they are facing, they can sign up for your newsletter or your free offer to get more help.
Tell People Offline About Your Email List
Remember to tell people you meet offline about your email list... If you have a brick-and-mortar store, advertise and tell clients personally. Include it in offline marketing materials. If you run into someone at the gym or store that might benefit from your services, tell them how they can sign up for your email list.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS KEEP TRACK OF YOUR NUMBERS
Numbers tell you a lot. Most importantly, they tell you where to spend your time and money building your email list. So keep a close eye on where your new subscribers are coming from.
Keep what is working the best. If it is not working, be bold and try something else. But what works the best is a little bit of everything and A LOT of what works best for YOUR target market. Everyone's target market is a little bit different.
Now I would love to hear from you: What works best for you? What struggles have you had with building your email list?
