Building a membership for nonprofit teams to learn live, grow and get answers
With the state of the economy, rising inequities, changing job market, shifts in education and more, it’s more critical than ever for organizations to up-skill and equip their teams.
There is a growing need for intentional, live high-value training that resonates and connects with organizations and companies that are striving to make a positive impact.
I’ve gone deep into this over the last few months, looking at various offerings in Canada and beyond. Generic guides on many topics are available, and there are plenty of existing online courses but in general, the content and format does not necessarily support the complexities or unique needs of social impact organizations.
The nonprofit sector faces significant challenges in training and upskilling its workforce.
These statistics highlight the growing need for intentional, high-value training that addresses the unique needs of social impact organizations.
Well-trained staff members are more likely to inspire trust and credibility among donors, partners, and the community at large, establishing the nonprofit as a reliable and reputable organization.
I’m building a membership for social sector teams to invest in their growth and accelerate their organization's impact.
The membership I’m launching through The Good Growth Company hosts live group sessions, a library of recorded trainings, enables ongoing Q&A and more.
This is because I believe that investing in people is the key to scaling missions and boosting social impact — and that learning live with peers makes a massive difference.
From live group mentorship sessions to recordings of trainings and the chance to submit questions anytime, this membership is designed to support leaders, teams, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations, charities, and social enterprises throughout their journey.
Consider joining this fully online membership to level up your skills and drive meaningful change, together.

Support with marketing, fundraising and more
From marketing to fundraising, within the membership, teams can ask questions about anything relating to their nonprofit's health and growth. Sessions gear more toward marketing and communications-related topics to start, however, there will be opportunities to submit questions on any topic ranging from DEI to leadership, as our roster of trainers can contribute.
You can start learning from past trainings now, or join the waitlist.
The full membership is launching in September, and you can join the waitlist now.
Start with the recordings only until then here.
Where did this membership come from? What’s the story?
After a decade in the creative marketing agency business and over 17 years running a non-profit organization and speaking, I’ve decided to assemble my learnings and connections to launch The Good Growth Company to empower leaders and teams to make a positive impact.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in a wide range of workshops, strategy sessions, and planning sessions — both as a facilitator and participant. I have provided consulting services to non-profit organizations, social enterprises, and companies of various sizes, helping them with their communications, fundraising, storytelling, and finding effective ways to showcase their impact and reach their target audiences. It has been a privilege to collaborate with some truly incredible individuals, including those who manage their own practices, run organizations, or work full-time in the sector.
However in today's world where competition for attention is fierce, AI technology is becoming increasingly prevalent, and remote work is at an all-time high, I’ve heard the need for live training and consulting that truly resonates with organizations striving to make a difference. From social enterprises to non-profit organizations and charities to government agencies, the goal is to connect people who can learn from each other and support teams so that we can collectively address the pressing needs of society.
Working in the social sector requires a unique skill set, encompassing empathy, effective communication, and more. However, many organizations find it challenging to retain top talent on a full-time basis, to fill the range of roles required.
This is where my latest venture aims to bridge the gap.
