Building Your First Network
Visualize and then practicalize it. Why did I start with that you may ask? Well you will soon find out. Today we will be taking our first lesson on building your first network, and as always we start with a definition. A network is just the connection between two end devices. Hold up, do you know what an end device is? Dont worry, it is not a mainframe computer or an invisible gadget. Let me give an example of an end device, they are devices like your Iphone, laptop and even Printers. End devices are just the users device which is your device. Now you will ask me how do these connect and communicate together? They do that either through a physical or wireless connection.
Now that you know two new things, let's look at how to build your home network which as all the basic equipment which will be furthered explored later down through other articles. So now what can you find in a home network well you can majorly see two things
The other component you might not see is what we call a modem. Now let us explore what devices do.
Wireless Router: This is a special type router that has both wired and wireless features comprised in it. What this means basically is that, your phone can connect to this type of router without a physical wire while your laptop can choose which one it would like to use be it a physical medium (Physical cable) or through the wireless means(WI-FI).

End Devices: As said before the end devices are just the users devices. There different end devices such as our phones and our laptops but one major end devices that people take for granted is our dear old printer.
Modem: Now many people might not know this piece of equipment, but without it you won't be able to go to the internet. At best if you don't have it in your network, your connection will just be limited to your house. So yes if you want to talk to that special someone on the internet you are going to need this device. This equipment is what interfaces our home network to our internet service provider (ISP) which connects us to the internet.
So with This Now you will ask me we did not build anything, we are just looking at a bunch of text explaing devices we are not seeing. Just chill, remember in the beginning we have to visualise and then practicalize, yeah now we have visualised. Now if you want to practicalize what we have envissioned just let me know in the comment sections. Thanks again for reading.
