{Burn out - How to recover}
Part 2
I landed in India for the second time in November 2014. ( First time was for an Internship at Jaipur).
It was around 7:00-8:00 am in one day in September when I left Bangalore airport. The only thing I had apart from my savings was a wonderful plan! (a very silly one actually):
- To decide where I would live (city),
- Travel and keep speaking with people about buying an elephant.
- Try to make a diamond deal happened
- Find a strong connection for oil export in Russia
I used to blog in Russia and had a few followers from Bangalore, they were kind to help me settle down.
It’s a great idea to start a new life when you are burnt out from your routine…but the only thing you need to start from is minus 1 level. (Not even from scratch!)
I had no network and friends around, had a language barrier (my English was too bad), no professional reputation, no knowledge of the market…
Was it tough to settle down? I think yes.
- In the middle, I suffered from Dengue and was hospitalised for 5 days (the bill from Manipal hospital is unforgettable!)
- In the middle, Russia’s economy crashed and my savings became 50% less in just one month! And everything was doubly expensive in India
- In the middle, the buyer refused to pay my earned commission
- In the middle, I broke up with my boyfriend
- In the middle, I fell in love with my husband:)
All these ups and downs happened in 1 year. I surely recovered from feeling empty and exhausted. I accept that it was an extreme way but I’m lucky enough to land in my current life.
Maybe I have good karma.
