Burns Raises Hope for Villages, Helps Enable a Greener World

Peter J. Burns III recognizes opportunities to make the world environmentally greener. He also acts when he sees the chance to make the future financially greener for people in need. That’s why when he heard about the Uprise Energy Portable Power Center (PPC), which “helps people help themselves,” he knew he wanted to become involved!

The PPC has been compared to a wind turbine, however this clean energy solution all fits neatly into a portable box. The machine is also able to convert other sources, aside from wind power, into energy. According to Peter J. Burns III, “The wind energy captured by the PPC is converted into 4 basic forms of energy to bring the greatest flexibility and usefulness to the villagers.”

These 4 forms include:

  1. Electricity
  2. Hydrogen fuel (obtained from wastewater)
  3. Water from air
  4. Chemical (batteries)

The Uprise Energy Portable Power Center (PPC) can be put to great use in a world in which 2 billion suffering people depend upon humanitarian support to meet their basic needs. Peter J. Burns III knows about this suffering all too well from his time in Ethiopia, as well as familiarizing himself with the Ethiopian people while starting numerous projects to help individuals living in this third-world country.

However, the PPC can help individuals from all over the world to meet their basic needs, and its worth can be measured in its ability to help people to safely prepare meals, maintain personal hygiene, and to drink potable water. Furthermore, the PPC lends itself to use within the areas of transportation, lighting, communication, and security.

Supporting Healthy, Connected Families

Just one PPC provides enough energy to support an entire village of 600 people each day; a 50 kw PPC produces 300,000 watts daily. Even better, the cost of the PPC is just $50. A “family power pack” cart system based on the PPC can provide 1 kw of energy each day for a family of 10 villagers. This singular can kilowatt provide the family with light, to pump sterlize water to combat disease problems, to run an inverter to produce power for an electric cooktop, and run a small refrigerator to fight malnutrition. It can also power operate a computer, enabling internet connection, as well as provide needed energy for cell phones and radios.

Sustainably Empowering Villages

According to the vision Peter J. Burns III, each PPC-supported community will depend upon 50 villagers to perform basic agricultural tasks on farms, which would average about 20 acres in size, and provide food for the entire community. One 20-acre farm will support grazing livestock to be used for meat, milk, and cheese, as well as poultry and egg production. The farms will also include gardens filled with staple crops, such as wheat and rice, in addition to fruit and vegetables.

As well as providing energy and clean water to run each farm, a PPC can provide power to refrigerate the crops, allowing them to last longer and to feed more villagers as opposed to spoiling. PPCs can also produce fuel to power trucks, allowing villagers to earn revenue by transporting excess produce to market.

Transforming Waste and Creating Opportunity

Unfortunately, waste is a fact of life. Deforestation, as well as human and animal waste, are often part of the price paid to sustain a village. However, in the system devised by Peter J. Burns III, the organic waste from farming and villagers would be fed into a bio-digester, which would in turn produce valuable products from its output:

Furthermore, Peter J. Burns III’s project will include the installation of recirculating showers to promote health and hygiene, the conservation of water, and the distribution of goods such as soap and toothpaste. The time and energy villagers formerly spent seeking firewood will be greatly reduced. Thus, trees are saved and the community can now expend more effort towards educational pursuits, connecting with the world, learning trades, and spending quality time with family members.

Renewable energy projects, such as the system devised by Peter J. Burns III should have a great economic impact on governments as well. Each year, goverments spend thousands of dollars per person to provide rescue efforts that combat war, hunger, crime, and poverty. With Burns’ vision and the Uprise Energy Portable Power Center, that financial burden can, instead, be transformed into cash to provide education, safety, and opportunity in an active, as opposed to reactive manner
