Business Bites... Issue 02.03.23
As you know, Thomas John Watson served as Chairman and CEO of IBM for more than 40 years! Independent of many factors that influence the development of an individual plus all the particularities -of a “pre-set” personality, there is a crucial activity that is very personal and unique of any individual. The activity I am talking about is the capacity to process, the capacity to think things thru.
My intention in today's “business bites” is to provide something that can help you to trigger and idea, make a better decision and take ACTION for you and your business.
When we study biographies of high performance individuals we get to pick their brains, their “processor” and use it as a filter to look at current challenges, situations and problems from a VERY different angle.
For example, Thomas J. Watson before he started IBM he tried other ventures one of them was a Butcher shop. He actually planned to open more stores but his then his partner walked away along with their funds. Thomas had to sell the store instead of opening a new one. This helped him to redirect purpose.
The above is just an example but during his career he also developed an ability to solve problems.
That is the beauty of biographies, it expands your own PROCESSOR!
