Business Idea: Dragon Ball AR
Nowadays, we have all the technology to make the 7 Dragon Balls real and working. This could lead to the most insane game ever!
The game concept
7 orange balls are dispersed in the 4 corners of the world. Who manages to gather all the 7 balls will be able to summon Shenron, the almighty dragon who can fulfil 1 wish!
The balls are NFTs displayed on your phone via Augmented Reality technology (AR).
Shenron is an AI still displayed via AR. He can make you rich by giving you the prize pool generated by the game’s revenue. He’s also capable of auto-minting NFTs that can still make you rich. Furthermore, Shenron can make you famous by casting your face on all the game’s social media channels. Will you choose wealth or fame? Or maybe you will opt for generosity by asking the dragon to send the prize pool to charity?
Once summoned, Sharon will be available for 5 minutes only, during which the lucky player can also inquiry the dragon just like people now inquiry ChatGPT. Once the wish is realized, the dragon will disappear and the dragon balls will be sent to the 4 corners of the world, inactive for 1 year. However, they will become visible on the radar already after 6 months, otherwise people will forget about the game.
One top game, many side leagues
The top game will be one for all the people on earth. Everyone will compete for the same 7 balls, making them ultra precious! However, players will be able to create their own private leagues too, similar to private tables in PokerStars Home Games or private battles in Fortnite.
Private players can set up their own entry fees and their own rules, as well as choose the radius over which the balls are spread. It can be as small as their own homes. Think of it as a manga style treasure hunt!
Revenue Model
The revenue can come from players paying to have an active account capable of summoning Shenron. It can be a yearly fee. A small fee from private games also goes to create the general prize pool.
A kickstart prize pool might come from an initial fundraising. This should be considered as marketing expenses to generate interest around the game.
‘Collect all 7 dragon balls and win $1M!’
It’s always catchy!

Premium features also possible, like being able to detect the dragon balls over a wider range, up to the entire planet.
Additional revenue can come from advertising on the app.
What we need to build this?
First, we need Akira Toriyama and Bird Studio/Shueisha’s consent and copyrights, but I don’t think this is a problem.
DragonBall AR is going to be a Web3 game, a true dApp. Users retain their own data.
These are the technologies involved in Dragon Ball AR:
