Business Tip: Define what you want?

Business Tip: Define what you want?

Everyone knows what they want, don't they?

Here is a list of what most business say they typically want (sources: NY Times, And various articles):

  • More time to research options and push projects
  • Controlled/managed costs
  • Predictable revenue
  • New business referrals from current customers
  • Fewer regulations
  • Vendors and suppliers they can trust
  • A bank that will give them solutions
  • More space available for production
  • Steady stream of qualified candidates for hiring

Knowing this, and facing the next year ahead of you, the question remains, what do you want?

The solutions to each of those concerns exist. There are ways to fix each of those problems with the help of focus and advice. So, do you truly want those problems fixed? Or are you like millions of people who sit at the foot of a mountain/problem and look up to the summit in longing their whole life?

Time is money. Employees are time. If you want more time, you will have to pay money. You may have to invest a lot of time in advertisements, interviewing, and training, plus the salary of the person, but eventually, you will have more time.

Controlling costs means controlling spending, planning investments and expenses and keeping your books diligently clean.

Great customer service and taking a few steps in advertisements and marketing (reminder: some investments in advertising today are better than zero) will get you your sales.

All of the solutions take effort and they take time. If you want to fix the problems, you know what to do. The question is, as always, what do you want?
