A Call For Creativity

Ever wondered O my nation?

Some entity we call Innovation 

Instance of that we have in a candle

A tiny flame so bright, yet so gentle

Breathes in air, all night it takes

Not even a whisper or a sigh it makes

Lighting up the darkness when no one else cares

A mere candle, but lo the idea it shares!

And consider a greasy yet brilliant oil lamp

Shining star in a room so dark and damp

It alone brings life to a deathly hour

Needs no favors in return for this instinct full of power

Keeps the atmos alight, forsaking its own slumber away

Giving us all a novel manner to hope and pray

A creative person, whose presence we crave all year

Is much like a candle, or the greasy old lamp to bear 

Innovator, the inventor he is, forever satisfied and content

His house is filled with joy, no room for resentment

He knows, he realizes, he is not the one to demand

He keeps giving to the world considering it God's command

The visions and ideas a mind like his will create

A source of eternal happiness is what one can relate

Sharing this wealth with people may be a value long lost

But the hope for progress it brings keeps filling the cost

Creativity imparts new color, fresh face to the land

Makes the times of the past a forgone and forgotten brand 

A creator is someone who never ceases to amaze

He replenishes the growing world with ever modern ways

Innovation is his tool, keeps him busy with the creations he mends

For the world seldom cares for the old and forsaken trends

Always feeling motivated, he keeps building and sharing

Does not expect an equal reward, but does return it with more caring

Humanity breeds, with its needs and greed

Hands full of demands and hollow souls indeed

Almighty Lord promises us all with sustainable ways to survive

But the Lord works through his men, who ideate and revive

Quietly they sit down to work and quietly their minds originate

They know they have the Almighty's Will towards a purposeful fate

The Lord creates man, man innovates the world around him

More practical his innovation, better a future across the brim

Ancestors create, so descendants live feed and sleep

Hence the past present and future bear a story so deep

Inventing is no hidden truth, yet a mystery to my poetry

I say its a tale from the past, a full blown rainbow in history

It's time we add some color to it, make clay into pottery

Humanity salutes the ones who create

سر الأبداع للشاعر معروف رفيق

يا من يسألني عن سر الإبداع

أرأيت إلى الشمعة تنزف أثناء الليل..

تبدد شبراً من ظلمة غرفة..

تنطفئ بلا صوت أو ضجة

ذلك يا من تسألني..

ذلك إبداع الشمعة

الشمعة تخلع عنها أطماع الدنيا ..

أنانيتها تصهر في لحظة مجد

تذوب ولا تأخد شيئاً

ذلك سر الإبداع..

قنديل الزيت .. يضيء ويغمر نصف الغرفة ..

لا ينتظر الشكر .. ولا صف الكلمات..

يعطي.. يخلع ثوب أنانيته في ساعات الليل ..

يغمرنا بالضوء .. ثم يسافر ..

الإنسان المعطاء ..

كشمعة ليل ، كقنديل الظلمة ..

يبدع من زيت القلب الخافق ..

من عتمة الليل ..

من مقل ساهرة للناس ..

يعطيهم فرحاً، دفئاً ، أنساً ..

وقد يتوارى كشهاب لم يلبث ..

لكن يترك في دنيا الناس ..

شيئاً من عمره ..

الإنسان المعطاء ..

تحييه الكلمة ..

تحييه البسمة ..

تسعده لعبة طفل ..

تملأ أركان المنزل ..

بالأمل الدافىء ..

لا يرجو أن يجزى ..

أو يهدي شيئاً ..

فسعادته أن يعطي

بيد عليا لا تطلب حسنات

ربما ضاعات المقاييس الحقيقية لتقدير القدرات ..

ربما في عصرنا تضاءلت الحوافز

ولكنها تبقى مؤشراً هاماً على طريق التقدم ..

ويبقى الإبداع هو الجديد في دنيانا وبلا جديد ..

يبقى الماضي بلا تجديد

لكن الحافز يوقد لحظات الإبداع ..

من يبني مدماكً في دار أو منزل ..

يبني يبني مدماكاً آخر ..

لو كوفئ على ما قدم ..

من ينسج ثوباً .. في موسم عري أو موسم برد ..

ينسج أثواباً لو قيل له شكراً ..

إن المولى عز وجل ..

وعد المحسن لو قدم حسنة ..

أن يعطيه الحسنة عشرا ..

ذلك سر الإبداع ..

قالوا يوماً : يا من تغرس أشجار الزيتون ..

عجوز أنت..

فماذا ينفعك الغرس ؟

قالت حكمته للسائل : غرسوا فأكلنا ..

ونغرس فيأكلون ..

الأجيال القادمة في المستقبل ..

تقبس من أقباس الماضي قبساً

فتشعل أقباس الحاضر

وتزيد عليها أقباساً ..

ليظل الإبداع سيرة أجيال ..

الإبداع .. يا من يسألني عن سر الإبداع :

إضافة شيئ للماضي ..

إضافة لون إن أمكن للألوان ..

ذلك سر الإبداع .. سر العمران ..
