This month the Camo companion app is being rechristened Camo Camera - not to help it escape its past, but to crystallise its function as a video source for Camo Studio. The app's functions remain exactly the same, it will still work its magic on iOS, Android, iPadOS and visionOS (currently in TestFlight), and it continues to be the best tool out there for transforming your phone into the best webcam you’ve ever had.

From two new platforms for Camo Studio to native builds for next-gen hardware to royal recognition to Camo Camera, it’s been quite the year. Perhaps now’s a good time to look back over the last twelve months, chart the app’s major moments, and declare something about the State of Camo.
