Can you ace this longevity quiz?
I was recently interviewed by my alma mater, USC, and it brought back fond memories of my time studying for my Master's in gerontology—the foundation of much of my work today. A memory that stands out was taking The Facts on Aging Quiz, meant to test anyone's knowlege about the aging process. I was confident I’d ace it. I didn’t. Developed by Erdman Palmore in 1977, the Quiz aimed to debunk myths about aging and inspire a more informed, positive perspective. I remember it because it was a great learning tool I could put to use right away.
Fast-forward to today, when we’re drowning in more information and misconceptions about healthy aging than ever before. I constantly hear from people who are overwhelmed and often confused by the seemingly contradictory and usually unsustainable nature of what we lifelong learners are being told to do so we can live a life as healthy as it is long. Whether you’re new to the world of longevity or a seasoned biohacker, you’ve likely felt this.
Lululemon's 2024 Global Wellbeing Report supports what my clients have been saying and paints a stark picture of a new kind of burnout: "wellbeing burnout". The fact is that too many of us are confused, stressed and working against ourselves in pursuit of building our own versions of a well lived life.

Sound familiar? Whether you’re leading a company, a family, a community—or all of the above—understanding the true pillars of wellness and longevity is essential. The roller coaster of trying different fads? That's optional. As the legendary coach John Wooden once said, "It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts."
Inspired by my memorable experience with Palmore’s quiz and Wooden's sentiment, I’ve created The Longevity Quiz—a foundational starting point to help you assess your knowledge and learn essential aspects that will inform the creation of your own Longevity Roadmap.
