Can You Say "No" To Your Family? 😬

Can You Say "No" To Your Family? 😬

As we begin our “How To Start Saying “No” To Your Family” series, here are a few questions to explore:

  • Is there a part of you that feels like saying “No” to your family is not allowed? Where does that belief come from?

  • What fears or insecurities may be holding you back from asserting your boundaries with your family?

  • How do your past experiences and familial dynamics influence your current ability to say "No"?

Saying "No" to ANY member of your family can be extremely difficult, which is why we're tackling this topic together.

Remember to give yourself a little grace and compassion on this journey. 🙏🏾

And look out for new episodes of the 5-minute "Life's Questions & Lessons" podcast Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Love this question. I used to and still do have a hard time saying no. But I'm much better than I was even a year ago. I had to realize that saying "no" wasn't meant to hurt them or a jab at them. It was simply looking out for myself and because they love me, I knew they'd eventually realize understand.
