GDP growth by Industry was averaging 2.3% post-2009 recession and it is now 2.1. Justin Trudeau climate change policies have done little to make a dent into emission but have led to slower economic growth including a decline in GDP per capita.
There was no federal carbon tax program when Justin Trudeau took office in 2015. The government is collecting about $12B in carbon taxation and spending over $13B on carbon tax programs. Despite the carbon tax and the climate change spending the emissions have barely decline for the past few years. In fact, the United States Federal Government has seen a deeper decline in their emissions per capita than Government of Canada -
