Can’t See the Forest for the Trees

Can’t See the Forest for the Trees

I'm sorry for the two-week delay in getting a new edition out. I turned 50 in July and have enjoyed time with family and friends. I hope this week's newsletter brings you joy because we all need a little joy these days.

In 2000, an old girlfriend came to visit me in Atlanta. Our relationship had been up-and-down, and because I was living in Atlanta and she was in Nantucket, it was hard to imagine things going up again meaningfully. We had a great couple of weeks; time flew by, and I remember realizing with astonishment that two weeks had passed since she arrived. "Dahlia, when are you going home?" I asked. Her response was, "What do you mean? I am home." We married two years later.

I was so caught off guard by her confidence in knowing what she wanted: me! Instead of asking to move in, she simply quit her job and shipped her bags to Atlanta. I'm forever grateful that she did. Her belief in me inspires me to work harder and be a better husband, father, son, brother, friend, coworker, etc.

Wellput’s Success and Future Plans

2024 is shaping up to be a great year for Wellput. Revenue will more than double from 2023. Demand on the platform has never been stronger, and we're proud to be working with over fifty advertisers in July.

Investing in Improving Newsletter Publisher Experience

As we plan for the rest of 2024, we are investing in improving the newsletter publishers' experience. Expect:

  • Higher CPC rates
  • Improved UX
  • Higher fill rates for larger publishers

Your feedback has been heard and is appreciated.

Looking Ahead

To the Wellput team, as we review our progress on goals and plan for the second half of 2024, remember to take a moment to appreciate how far we've come. It's easy to focus on the problems and deficits in our product, but if you squint a little, you just might see the forest through the trees. I'm proud to be a part of this team and feel very Wellput.

With love,

Craig Swerdloff
