Care for the environment
Our environmental team monitor all environmental conditions and aspects of the site and surrounding areas. This includes monthly water and air quality testing, ecology, heritage as well as soil erosion and impacts like noise and visuals.
The team also gathers seeds from native plants, process them, and grow seedlings in the nursery on site. The seedlings are then used in tree screening and habitat allotments, rehabilitation and riparian restoration. These seedlings are often distributed with local schools and the community. "It is very rewarding to be able to put something back into the environment and I enjoy working outdoors in such a scenic and diverse area"- Till Armstrong (Environmental Field Officer).
