CATCH CUSTOMERS BY BEING CATCHY

If I said the words “Roto-Rooter” to you, what would be the first thing that comes to your mind? It’s probably that little musical ditty “Call Roto-Rooter, that’s the name. And away goes trouble down the drain.” That’s the power of a jingle. One little catchy phrase is enough to remind people that Roto-Rooter is the place to call when you have a clogged drain.

In the world of digital advertising, it’s really easy for marketers to be enamored by all the shiny new objects.  From targeted display to email templates to social media demos, there’s a lot out there to consider in developing a marketing plan. All of these methods can be effective, depending on your particular goals. But sometimes the “tried and true” works best. Yes, the old fashioned jingle still has its place in the media landscape.

What can an effective jingle package do for you? A number of things:

THEY CAPTURE ATTENTION

People these days are incredibly busy and they consume much of their news and entertainment in small bites. Good or bad, that’s the world we live in now. A short direct pitch with a commercial jingle punches through the clutter of other ads (not to mention our appointments, meetings and those “to-do lists”) to draw attention your way for a few seconds.

BA DA DA-DA-DA! I’M LOVIN’ IT!

THEY ARE MEMORABLE

While a jingle can get stuck in the listener’s head, each silent repetition bouncing around in the brain is another message that keeps awareness of you and what you offer in front of the audience. At some point, those people will be in the market for what you offer. When that happens, you want to be in their brain.

1-877 KARS FOR KIDS, K.A.R.S. KARS FOR KIDS …

THEY SET YOU APART

Even if your competitor also has a jingle, a unique musical identity allows your business to stand out from the crowd.

LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR STATE FARM IS THERE.

THEY ARE FUN

Everyone loves a catchy turn of phrase or clever anecdote, and, done right, that’s really what a jingle is – with music.

PLOP PLOP, FIZZ FIZZ, OH WHAT A RELIEF IT IS.

 THEY DEFINE YOU

A well-conceived jingle will relate your brand to a promotion, offer or idea. This can be just as effective, or more so, than a spokesperson talking about you and your products for 30 or 60 seconds.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE, DOUBLE YOUR FUN.

Consider a jingle for your business or organization. You’ll be surprised at what it can do for you.
