Celebrating a Decade of Dedication, Excellence, and Growth: Augustine Kalirathinam’s Journey as a Kriyator

It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to one of our valued employees, Augustine Kalirathinam , who has recently completed 10 years of dedicated service at Kriyadocs! 

Over the past decade, Augustine has made significant contributions to the organization and has proven to be an invaluable asset to our team. In this blog post, we hear from Augustine about his perspective as a Kriyator and his ongoing journey with Kriyadocs.

Please tell us about your career evolution at Kriyadocs.

Augustine: I joined Kriyadocs as a Team Leader in mid-2012. Since then, I have worn different hats and gained experience in various areas, such as project management, software development leadership, and engineering management.

When I first joined Kriyadocs, we were providing offshore publishing services to book and journal publishers. Through my journey here so far, we have evolved significantly to offer platform as well as service solutions with the vision of making “publishing all content as simple as clicking a button.”

What would you say is your greatest accomplishment at Kriyadocs thus far?

Augustine: My greatest accomplishment at Kriyadocs thus far is my small contribution to the development of the proofing component of our publishing platform. The automated proof generation feature simplifies the manuscript review process and is helpful for authors and editors alike.

Could you tell us about a successful collaboration experience that you had during your service period?

Augustine: Back in 2014, we were working on a conversion project for one of our customers. I was developing the tool, and I found it a challenging task. I persevered and managed to develop the tool—not 100%, however—and I was in need of support from some people to successfully complete the task. Thankfully, I got help from my talented colleague, Jaishankar Natarajan . Our collaboration was marked by an agile approach and a focus on training resources. By working together, we were able to complete the task within the stipulated time frame and deliver results to our customers.

What do you love about being a Kriyator? What professional and/or personal values have you developed in your journey so far?

Augustine: As a Kriyator, what I love is that we are unique, and we do things differently from others.

When I first joined Kriyadocs, I just knew the basics of programming. But over the years, I have learned—and am continuing to learn—so much about programming. This continuous learning experience makes being a Kriyator exciting and fulfilling. Another professional value I have developed as a Kriyator is how to be a good collaborator and work with various stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, vendors, and more.

Please share your thoughts on our shared journey as the Kriyadocs family going forward.

Augustine: As a Kriyator, my goals going forward are to:

• Make ongoing contributions to improve Kriyadocs continually
• Gain a deeper understanding of the customer and end-user requirements as they continue to evolve
• Stay open to new ideas when it comes to enhancing our solutions

At Kriyadocs, we are all about constant learning and innovation and doing things differently. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with fellow Kriyators to provide best-in-class solutions for publishers.
