🎉 Celebrating a Decade of Victory! 🏆
It's been 10 incredible years since Oracle Team USA won the 34th America's Cup.
We are proud to know that we had the opportunity to be a part of this extraordinary project and contribute to the team's historic win.
Besides the historical comeback and spectacular team effort to achieve it, the AC72, a foiling rigid wing-propelled catamaran, was the first step that led to the revolution introducing foiling in the America's Cup and which later trickled down to the nautical industries.
Thanks to a superior design based on a novel aerodynamic concept and hydrodynamic foils, as well as a sailor dream team ( James Spithill , Sir Ben Ainslie , and Tom Slingsby , 3 out of 6 of the next America's Cup helmsmen) led by legendary Russell Coutts , will remain in AC history.
This victorious defense, during which Caponnetto and Hueber contributed extensively to the development of the full aerodynamic package, which is now the standard of modern foiling catamarans, (streamlined beams integrating sails end plates and pod) as well as in the appendage design, was the seed which led a few years later to the creation of Caponnetto Hueber SL , who nowadays brings their foiling yachts experience and hydrodynamic design expertise to many foiling and innovative yachts projects by supporting naval architects, shipyards and startups.
All wishes to all the team principals and teammates who made this victory happen.
