Celebrating - Teachers and Coaches self-organising their coaching skills development

The Practice Sessions project group just launched multiple triads

In a triad there are at least three people. They agree to coach each other and give feedback. They also agree to be coached and to receive feedback.

It takes courage to be coached by someone you have never met. It takes skill to coach a stranger. That is why we build small groups of three or four people who take the time to get to know each other beyond "What is your coaching background?" and "When are you available?".

During a coaching session, you are heard, you are seen. Your values come to the surface. So do your hopes and fears.

You can be sure of this, in the fierce attention from your coach; your fears will fade, your hopes will triumph.

Project Groups - in general

The purpose of project groups is to serve the needs of the TwC Community

The Practice Sessions Project Group

What is the Purpose?

Members with coach training shall have the opportunity to sharpen their skills in self-organised groups of 3-4 members during 3-4 months.

Who are we / Where are we?

Teachers and Coaches based in the UK and Sweden. We welcome members from other countries.

How do we meet / collaborate?

Mostly LinkedIn chat and Zoom calls. We also use Canva to create posters.

What do we make / do (examples)?

We have a list of teachers who are also trained as coaches. We note their training, experience and certification (not required).

We note what kind of teacher they are and the school they work in.

We suggest groups for each season. We offer support documents for Feedback and Self-Assessment

Who receives / uses what we make / do?

Directly: Members who are teachers and coaches.

Indirectly: Their staff and students!

What do the people say about what we make / do

This is new for TwC, but we have done this kind of thing before and everyone gains from coaching and being coached.

Sharpening coaching skills is a side-effect.

When do we meet / chat?

A month or so before the next start, on a couple of Monday or Friday mornings (UK time) for an hour or so to plan and make posters for live meetings to attract members to join our signup list(s)

What are we called?

I love this, and I've signed up, and thank you for giving me this opportunity – I just want to clarify. The group is here on LinkedIn, and there isn't a website or other community channel that I should join, correct?
