Celebrating Three Years of Innovation, Together

Hello Project Brains Community,

🎂🎉 We're thrilled to announce that Project Brains has just turned three years old! What started as a bold idea to help businesses grow has itself grown into a thriving community dedicated to transforming skills and talent in the modern economy. This milestone is not just about the passing of time—it is about the power of togetherness, perseverance, and our shared commitment to the Future of Work.

Three Years of Growth and Transformation

In our third year, we can move from cautious steps to confident strides. Like an energetic three-year-old, we are full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and a drive to explore new opportunities. We are no longer dreaming about the future—we are actively shaping it with every new project, partnership, and innovation.

And we are not alone, our recent study published in the Startups Magazine showed the level of frustration among businesses with the current situation.

Mishiring Survey in Startups Magazine

Nine out of ten (89%) desire to align candidate skills with business needs upfront in the recruitment process. And yet seven in ten (68%) reported feeling neutral or dissatisfied with their current methods of skills assessment. Therefore, it is not surprising that most businesses are inclined to embrace talent management processes that go beyond the basic job description. Indeed, 92% of respondents are willing to use Artificial Intelligence technology in assessing their needs, writing role specifications, and setting criteria for skills-based hiring. A similar 89% are open to adopting fractional hiring and service models. Give the full article a read here: 51% of UK hires either leave or need close support due to mis-hiring

A Year of Milestones and Accolades

Just before we blew our birthday candles, we got the news that Project Brains was selected as a finalist for The Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards . We are proud to represent the New Businesses category among peers who all show resilience and commitment. More to see here: British Business Excellence Awards.

This year has been particularly exciting for Project Brains. We are incredibly proud to also have won the prestigious Innovate UK Smart Grant to drive Responsible AI. This grant is a powerful endorsement of this community and for our shared mission to use a new technology like AI to not create winners and losers, but rather to bring progress and benefit to all of us. Here, you can learn more about the project.

And, of course, there is much more to come! We are excited to announce…

Project Brains is in the process of developing prodigyPB, a Responsible AI platform to revolutionise the way job descriptions (JDs) are created and used. This solution will be an invaluable tool for hiring managers, enabling them to drill down into the nuanced requirements of their business to produce JDs that align precisely with their true needs and target outcomes. They will help recruiters get a better understanding of the required skills and experience, and allow applicants to present themselves in the best manner possible, ultimately reducing risk and wasted efforts for everyone. This solution will be a living representation of learnings from our Project Brains community, moving away from generic, one-size-fits-all JDs.

Launching Our Referral Program: Growing Together

As we create the future, do not just watch the space, get involved! We are launching a New Business Referral Program. We believe that our community knows better than anyone where the real business needs are. That is why we are asking all of you, our valued members, to help identify businesses and challenges that can benefit from our solutions.

Referral Program

For making such introductions and connections, we offer commercial benefits like introduction fees, preferred work opportunities, and a variety of alternative exchanges designed to grow the value in our community. Together, we can continue to expand the reach and impact of our work. So, to join the conversation, contact us.

Fractional Diaries: Expanding the Conversation

Our Fractional Diaries series has grown significantly since its launch last summer. We are thrilled to have an even more diverse array of speakers, topics, and interests represented, all centered around the evolving world of Future of Work. Each episode deepens our understanding of innovative approaches, especially the more we talk about fractional work, the more convinced we are that it is the future. It has been incredibly rewarding to find that we are not alone in this belief—our conversations have sparked new ideas, partnerships, and a collective enthusiasm for what lies ahead. To never miss a beat, make sure you are subscribed to our YouTube channel.

A Growing Community: Powered by You

Thanks to your unwavering support, our community has grown to over 37,000 members in over 50 countries. Each of us brings our unique talents, skills, experiences and networks.
