Celina and her internship experience at Oetker Digital

Internships play a vital role in shaping the career paths of aspiring professionals, providing invaluable opportunities to gain hands-on experience and explore different facets of their chosen field. We had the privilege of asking a couple of questions to Celina, who has completed her internship in the Marketing department of Oetker Digital and is eager to share their insights and reflections from this experience.

Hi Celina! Three months flew away so fast! How would you describe your overall experience as an intern at our company?

Extremely positive! Everybody at the company is so welcoming and makes it really easy to quickly settle in. Additionally, there is a thorough onboarding for all new starters, making sure you get to know the company very well right from the start. Also the office is very cool (situated right between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain) and offers great working areas for every preference, such as the open space, meeting boxes or the outside terrace ☀️.

What was your most memorable moment or experience during your internship?

The Oetker Digital Collaboration Days (OD/CD’s) definitely always were a big highlight for me. On this day, which takes place once a month, all employees come to the office to work and get to know each other better. The Easter edition was especially fun, as it included games like an Easter hunt and a beautiful lunch on the terrace with the whole team. 

What were some of the key skills or knowledge you gained during your internship? 

During my 3 months as an intern, I worked on two major projects for Oetker Digital and Getränke Hoffmann. During the first half of my internship I got the opportunity to help set up a new data-driven innovation process for the Oetker Group and in the second half of my internship I supported the Getränke Hoffmann team in setting up a new loyalty system for their customer base. Thus, I gathered valuable insights into the areas of project management, new product development and digital marketing and was able to look into the different group companies of the Oetker Group. 

If you were to give advice to future interns joining our company, what would you share with them?

Thanks to the organization of the great community managers, you always have the opportunity to join interesting talks, team activities and fun events at OD, so use them! 🙂 I can highly recommend the Food&Talk format, which takes place once a month and is a knowledge sharing session covering various (food-related) topics presented by alternating OD employees and also includes a delicious breakfast.
