CEO of BRITISH CANNABIS™ Nominated for the Social Impact Award: A Testament to Compassionate Care
We are thrilled to announce that our CEO and Founder, Tom Whettem , has been nominated for the Social Impact Award by the Cannabis Industry Council . This recognition not only highlights Tom’s leadership but also underscores the powerful stories that inspire our mission—especially the journey of Alfie Brocklebank.
Alfie’s story began with a devastating diagnosis. At just two years old, he faced multiple brain tumours, causing him to suffer from daily seizures. The conventional medications prescribed by the NHS failed to provide relief, leaving his family in a state of despair. The only supplement that seemed to help control Alfie’s seizures was CBD oil, which they had to fund themselves at a significant cost.
Upon learning about Alfie’s situation, Tom took immediate action. Without hesitation, he reached out to the Brocklebank family and offered them a lifetime supply of BRITISH CANNABIS 100% Cannabis Oil. This act was not merely a business decision; it was a heartfelt commitment to restoring hope and dignity to Alfie and his family.
Reflecting on the impact of this support, Alfie’s mother shared,
“We are many years on from that first dose, and since then, Alfie is now at a mainstream school with his sisters. He’s learning new things every day, happy, running around and climbing, just like his friends.”
The joy of seeing Alfie thrive is a testament to the positive change that compassionate care can bring.
The transformation was remarkable. After starting CBD oil, Alfie’s seizures significantly decreased, allowing him to engage with his surroundings and enjoy the life he deserved. As his mother noted,
“We practically have a normal family life now, apart from attending routine appointments. We have not had a single emergency hospital admission since giving Alfie his first dose of CBD oil.”
This story embodies the reason we do what we do—changing lives through quality cannabis products.

1moYou people have the most amazing angle in getting your foot in the door to kick the hinges off and you just don't get it... how can cannabis be illegal when all human beings have a cannabinoid system 🤔 in all of us putting us to sleep when we are tired... that's like putting a price on air and oxygen saying that its illegal... n charging people for the air... only thc.. is illegal out of the 500 plus similar cannabonoids ... cbd is legal... 100% n thc can be altered to something else is a bi-product its an oil so i really do not know what type of people 😅 who you employed to talk like this...n why.... it doesn't even make any sense... please. Please do comment.. because I'd like to think that someone will want to know what really is going on... not much though from this view....
