Chip conveyor functions

The main #function of the #chip #conveyor system is to remove excess cutting material from the machine tool.

These materials can be #metal or #plastic.

The optional Maple machine is a screw type chip removal, which can also be upgraded to a chain type chip removal.

There are various types of chip conveyors

(1)Chain (Belt) type chip conveyor - Most #Common

(2)Screw type chip conveyor - Most #Economic

(3)Magnetic conveyor

1. Belt Type         

The solution for the filtration and disposal of a variety of chip waste: long, short, curly/coiled, agglomerated. Scraper bars are set on the chain plate belt. As the scraper bars rotate, chips are scraped off the bottom surface of the conveyor, gathering any small chips that may have fallen to the bottom of the chip conveyor. The filter system then effectively filters out all the chips in the coolant and prevents chips from contaminating the water tank. The filter system extends the coolant lifespan and eliminates waste buildup in the coolant tank, ensuring the continued trouble-free operation of the chip conveyor.

Suitable Chips

For a wide variety of applications and ideal for coarse and stringy chips over 75mm.

3. Magnetic Scraper        

The Magnetic Scraper, also known as the magnetic chip conveyor, has a magnet is installed on the bottom of the conveyor belt to attract the chips in the cutting fluid to the conveyor belt. The chips are affixed to the belt and are unable to flow with the cutting fluid. The scraper bars then scrape the chips off the bottom of the chip conveyor for further filtration processing.

Suitable Chips

For short and fine magnetic metal chips smaller than 75mm.

4. Scraper Type        

By using the thrust force of the scraper, scattered chips are moved progressively on the belt. The scraper is installed at certain intervals on the chain perpendicular to the bottom of the surface of the belt. The chips that fall on the belt are transported by the scraper towards the filtration system in a continuous manner.

Suitable Chips

For short, fine, powder chips between 2mm-75mm.
