Championing Women in Tech at Sportsbet

At Sportsbet, we are working continuously to drive more gender parity and remove as many barriers that prevent women from rising to the top.

For me, working at a company that not only supports but empowers women in the workplace is particularly important, and it is one of the reasons why I love being part of the Sportsbet team.

Removing barriers and creating opportunities

There is a sustained and continuous effort here in terms of programs, activities and processes in place to ensure we promote diversity and inclusion at the workplace.

Let’s take education, for example. The company regularly offers and enables employees to attend Women in Tech and Women in Sports events. Our Women in Tech community represents all of the Sportsbet women who work in technology capabilities, whether that is in analytics, customer experience, cybersecurity or other areas.

These events and conferences highlight the importance of women's involvement and help promote a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.

In addition, championing gender equality involves paying attention to how we recruit, retain and develop female talent. To that end, we focus on opportunities for flexible work arrangements, mentoring programs and regular leadership development opportunities, ensuring that these are tailored to support the needs of everyone.

Importantly, we also ensure that women are represented in decision-making processes across the business lines and at the executive level.

Playing my part

In my current role as Project Manager, I’m heavily involved in promoting diversity and inclusion within the company, ensuring that women have equal opportunities for career growth and advancement.

As a company, we celebrate International Women's Day each year, and I help manage the IWD initiatives. This can range from organising events to running awareness campaigns and discussions aimed at celebrating the achievements of women in the sports betting industry.

On a personal note, I feel empowered and supported at Sportsbet. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and the recognition I've received.

We like to talk about our Green Tick feeling, which is that special feeling of success – whatever it looks like to you. Every day here, being part of this team, seeing everyone work so well together and be so committed, gives me my Green Tick feeling.

Reflecting on my time here, I feel immensely proud to be part of the team at Sportsbet. Everyone is so focused on delivering high-quality products to our customers – it’s inspiring!
