Changing the Conversation and Making a Difference
I am using two hashtags in my promotional efforts to get the word out about my new show: The Envision Speakers Series. Those two hashtags are #changetheconversation and #removethestigma. At this time in history, the human race is most divided politically, culturally, and morally. Instead of coming together as a people, we are building up walls of hate, anger, and resentment. I could go down a proverbial rabbit hole and raise some conspiratorial issues, but I won’t. That is not the focus of The Question Guy Newsletter.
Today, I just want to share a message of hope . . . and help.
The Envision Speakers Series begins in three days . . . July 14, 2023. Let’s meet the panel members and gain a better understanding as to why they will be joining me in conversation. The people that you are about to meet have appeared on The Question Guy Podcast! or Coach’s Corner (or both). Each brings such value to the conversation that it just made sense to have them on the first episode of the new show.
The Envision Speakers Series – Sheyenne Kreamer
By her own admission, Sheyenne Kreamer is a “super-connector”. She brings people together because she knows that collaboration wins over competition every time. This goes for business and in life. From her own bio . . . Sheyenne is the Co-Founder of the We Care Partnerships Network. The We Care Partnerships Network is an interconnected network of small business owners dedicated to building communities that provide good health, prosperity, and peace for all.
Sheyenne, I love this! But wait, there’s more!
Sheyenne understands the value of the conversation around mental health and suicide prevention. During the first episode of the Envision Speakers Series, Sheyenne will tell you that she has experienced personal loss as a result of people she knew taking their own lives.
According to her personal biography, “after losing several friends to suicide and experiencing serious bouts of depression in her life, Sheyenne has spent considerable time researching the key components of body, mind, and spirit that contribute to depression. She is an advocate for finding complementary modalities that can help people return to living a life with more joy and more peace of mind.”
Below is Sheyenne’s first podcast with me. Wow, how we have both grown in the past year! Thank you for trusting me with your story!
Sheyenne, thank you for being a part of this new conversation!
The Envision Speakers Series – Dori Staehle
Dori Staehle, MBA is pure energy . . . and not the caffeinated kind. Dori is passionate about helping people heal – mind, body, and spirit. More importantly, she has true compassion for others. Her compassion is a result of her own “accident” – watch and listen to her testimony below. This was one of my earlier episodes of The Question Guy Podcast! Dori, thank you for trusting me with your story!
Let’s learn more about Dori from her bio . . . Dori Staehle is the owner of Next Stage Drumming and the one and only certified drum therapist in North Carolina. She is also an inspirational speaker, percussionist, author, and mentor. A freak accident in 2011 caused Dori to discover how to use drumming to boost both mental and physical health. She has since helped thousands of kids and adults focus, feel better, and find their joy!
The Envision Speakers Series – Jerry Klingerman
In all honesty, the first topic for the Envision Speakers Series – Men’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention – was Jerry Klingerman ’s idea. It was birthed from our podcast conversations and the research he was doing around his new book: Reclaiming Masculinity – How to be a Man in the 21st Century. With the increased number of suicide attempts (and successful actions) in recent years . . . and the fact that men really do suck at addressing, communicating, and dealing with emotions . . . I told Jerry that we needed to have this conversation. And we are doing it now!
From Jerry’s bio: After nearly 40 years of working as a writer, editor, and self-employed publisher, Jerry Klingerman has turned his communication and observation skills toward helping men maximize their relationships. A corporate escapee, Jerry has written several books, and created and launched a handful of successful magazines — and a couple that tanked very badly!
Jerry’s newest book is titled, “Reclaiming Masculinity: How to be a Man in the 21st Century.” The book, which will be available late this year (2023), is based on his observations, research, and opinions about the current state of the American male 50 years after the rise of the modern feminist movement. A lifelong Ohioan, Jerry recently relocated to the Atlanta, Georgia area and is enjoying a snow-free lifestyle. He is available for speaking engagements as well as individual coaching.

The Envision Speakers Series – Mitch Gray
Mitch Gray and I have known each other for a little over two years. At first, I was looking for a mentor to help me through some personal and professional challenges. Mitch stepped up and became that mentor. Now, as a friend, he is helping me get the Envision Speakers Series up and running.
Now for his biography. As a spiritual guide, life and leadership coach, inspirational speaker, and writer- Mitch Gray teaches us to live and lead from the depth of our humanity. Over the past 25 years, Mitch has coached over 10,000 leaders and individuals worldwide while leading organizations across 7 different industry sectors.
Mitch’s personal journey of living with severe depression disorder, PTSD, and bipolar disorder have inspired him to focus on shifting the conversation around mental health in the workplace and communities. Mitch is the author of several books including The Gathering Place and How to Hire and Keep Great People. He is also the host of The Mitch Gray Show podcast- available anywhere you listen to podcasts.
Mitch, thank you for your continued support in these past two years. Let’s make the next two even better.
This is Mitch and I talking about Walking the Path – A Leader’s Journey.
Walking the Path – A Leader’s Journey
In my continued efforts to #changetheconversation and #removethestigma around mental health, I am challenging myself to actually walk the path. I am taking a small group of adventurers on a thru-hike across the Appalachian Trail (the A.T.). But I need your support; I am looking for you to help. If you run a non-profit agency that supports mental health and suicide prevention services, let’s talk. There is work to be done.
