China's livestock products market in the fourth week of April

According to the monitoring of China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in the fourth week of April (collection date is April 25), the price of piglets and commercial egg substitute chickens rose from the previous month, and the price of live pigs, pork, eggs, commercial meat substitute chickens, chicken, cattle and sheep products fell from the previous month.

 

The average price of piglets nationwide was 37.72 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from the previous week and 2.7% year-on-year. Piglet prices rose in 26 provinces including Shanghai, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Guangxi and Ningxia, and fell in 3 provinces including Jilin, Xinjiang and Shanxi. The price in Central China is higher, 40.13 yuan/kg; The price in southwest China is lower, at 31.49 yuan/kg. The average price of live pigs nationwide was 15.28 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from the previous week and up 3.5% year-on-year. Pig prices rose in seven provinces, including Ningxia, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin, fell in 22 provinces, including Hainan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Chongqing and Jilin, and remained flat in Fujian. The price in East China is higher, 15.84 yuan/kg; The price in Northwest China is lower, at 14.66 yuan/kg. The average price of pork nationwide was 25.09 yuan/kg, down 0.2 percent from the previous week and up 1.8 percent year-on-year. Pork prices rose in eight provinces, including Ningxia, Qinghai, Liaoning, Fujian and Hainan, fell in 20 provinces, including Shanghai, Shaanxi, Henan, Anhui and Yunnan, and remained flat in two provinces, Tianjin and Guangxi. The price in South China is higher, 27.94 yuan/kg; The price in Northeast China is lower, at 21.65 yuan/kg.

 

The average price of eggs nationwide was 9.60 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from the previous week and 17.0% year-on-year. The price of eggs in 10 major producing provinces, including Hebei and Liaoning, was 8.01 yuan/kg, down 1.0 percent from the previous week and 24.2 percent year-on-year. The average price of chicken nationwide was 23.38 yuan/kg, down 0.1 percent from the previous week and 2.9 percent year-on-year. The average price of commercial egg replacement chicks was 3.76 yuan/piece, up 0.3% from the previous week and down 3.8% year-on-year. The average price of commercial substitute chicken is 3.50 yuan/piece, down 0.6% from the previous week and down 9.3% year-on-year.

 

The average price of beef nationwide was 75.05 yuan/kg, down 0.9 percent from the previous week and down 12.9 percent year-on-year. Beef prices in the major producing provinces of Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong and Henan were 62.66 yuan per kilogram, down 1.6 percent from the previous week. The national average price of lamb is 73.94 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from the previous week and down 8.6% year-on-year. The price of mutton in major producing provinces such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan and Xinjiang was 66.93 yuan/kg, down 0.5 percent from the previous week.

 

In terms of fresh milk prices, the average price of fresh milk in 10 major producing provinces such as Inner Mongolia and Hebei was 3.43 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from the previous week and down 12.1% year-on-year.
