China's Quiet Takeover of the Electric Vehicle Revolution
While the West was sleeping on the electric vehicle (EV) revolution, China quietly took over. Today, 95% of all-electric buses are made in China, and nearly 70% of electric cars globally come from China. Soon, like the iPhone in your hand, 98% of electric cars will be produced there. Surprising, right?
Even Teslas—yes, the ones you see cruising down Western highways—over 50% are made in China.
I bought a BMW i3 about 10 years ago, and my family absolutely loves it. But when I was ready to buy another, they told me, “Sorry, discontinued!”
The EV game is changing fast, and China is clearly leading the charge. If you don’t have time for the deep dive on YouTube, feel free to listen to my podcast linked below.
