CJP in 2024
As 2024 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on a year of progress and achievement. From new projects and partnerships to sustainability milestones, it’s been a year shaped by collaboration and innovation.
"As we reflect on 2024, I want to personally thank our customers, partners, and team for their support and collaboration. This year has been one of incredible growth and achievement for CJP, and it’s only been possible because of the trust placed in us and the shared commitment to innovation and excellence. Here’s to continuing that success together in 2025." Chris Phillips, Managing Director at CJP
Here’s a look back at some of the highlights that defined our year. Thank you for being part of our journey!
Championing Inclusion Through Blind Football with RNC
CJP partnered with the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) again this year to live stream the European Blind Football League tournament, showcasing top talent and inclusion in sports. The event featured Europe’s best blind footballers and activities that allowed spectators to experience the challenges faced by visually impaired athletes.
Our team provided seamless coverage, including pre-recorded interviews, detailed graphics, and live updates, earning praise from RNC for our professionalism and dedication.
Successful Showcase at MPTS
At the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS), we demonstrated live motion capture and virtual production tools, highlighting tailored solutions for productive and cost-effective facilities.
Working alongside partners at Xsens and Faceware, we reinforced our expertise in virtual production and our commitment to supporting creative industries. It was such a fantastic show, and we can’t wait to be back in 2025!
Commitment to Fair Pay with Living Wage Accreditation
This year we became an officially accredited Living Wage Employer, ensuring all staff receive a fair wage above the government minimum. This commitment reflects our dedication to employee well-being and responsible business practices.
Chris Phillips, Founder & Managing Director, stated, "Fair pay is fundamental to the well-being and satisfaction of our employees." We’re proud to join over 14,000 UK employers championing fair wages.
Supporting Future Talent Through Work Experience
This summer, we welcomed Mo, a final-year student from the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC), for a week of hands-on work experience at CJP. Mo explored our in-house Virtual Production studio, worked on creating a video for his charity, Accessible Ummah, and developed professional skills, including building his LinkedIn profile.
Chris Phillips, Managing Director at CJP, said, “Mo’s enthusiasm and dedication were evident throughout his time with us. It was a pleasure to support his growth and be part of his journey.”
We’re proud to provide opportunities like this, fostering diverse talent and encouraging the next generation of creative professionals.
An Award-Winning Year in Social Responsibility
Our commitment to community impact was recognised with two prestigious awards this year. We won the Company Social Responsibility 2024 Award at the RTS Technology Centre Summer Awards, highlighting our initiatives such as live streaming for St Michael’s Hospice, supporting the European Blind Football League, and mentoring RNC students.
Additionally, we received the IABM Community Impact Award for our sustainability efforts and support of local organisations. Kieran Phillips' voluntary work as a Community First Responder, making a meaningful difference in critical emergencies, was also a key part of both recognitions.
It’s a huge honour for us to be recognised by the industry with these awards, and we look forward to continuing this work into 2025 and beyond.
Expanding Expertise Through the ATG Brand Transfer
This year marked significant growth for CJP, highlighted by the transfer of the ATG brand from Dan Technologies A/S over the summer. This milestone has not only allowed us to continue supporting ATG clients with enhanced services but has also strengthened our expertise through the addition of Jonathan Hughes, former ATG Managing Director, as Head of Bids and Proposals. This development reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering tailored solutions for the broadcast and corporate markets.
Delivering Future-Ready Projects Across the UK
This year, we successfully delivered a range of innovative projects, showcasing CJP’s growth and expertise in creating cutting-edge facilities tailored to the diverse needs of several sectors.
Two standout projects include the state-of-the-art studio at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) and the Creative Digital Lab for StartUp Croydon. Both facilities empower students, businesses, and creatives with access to industry-standard technologies, supporting hands-on learning, content creation, and innovation.
In addition, we secured international corporate contracts and continued to expand our work in TV studio installations for T-Level Colleges, demonstrating how our expertise is being utilised by further education (FE) as well as higher education (HE) institutions.
Driving Sustainability with Carbon Neutral Certification
Becoming certified Carbon Neutral for 2023/24 is a major achievement for us, reflecting months of work to measure and reduce emissions across our operations. From improving energy efficiency to adopting greener practices throughout our projects, this certification is a testament to our commitment to making sustainability central to what we do.
With sustainability becoming a vital focus for the broadcast industry, we’re proud to lead by example, ensuring environmental responsibility is embedded in our high-quality services and future planning.
Driving Innovation with Our In-House Virtual Production Studio
This year, we’ve continued to enhance our in-house VP studio with the latest technology, including AOTO LED panels, Unreal Engine real-time graphics, full-body motion capture, and advanced camera tracking. The newest addition, the MIMIK 120 image-based lighting system, was made possible with support from the Business Enterprise Fund and Herefordshire Council, bringing sustainable, high-quality lighting to the studio.
Our VP studio is a hands-on space for R&D, training, and client demonstrations, helping us refine solutions and ensure clients get the most from their VP systems.
Celebrating Success at Our Christmas Open Days
On the 11th, 12th, and 13th of December, we held our Christmas Open Days, exploring the CJP studio’s virtual production tools like green screen, LED volume, motion capture, and camera tracking. It was a great opportunity to network with industry partners and peers over festive bites and drinks, and it showcased how these technologies could enhance their projects in different sectors. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry! Book a demo in 2025 by contacting Kieran Phillips.
Thank you for being part of our journey this year. We’re excited to continue innovating and supporting our clients and community in 2025!
